More babies in England are being born by caesarean section than ever before; the latest NHS data for 2023/24 shows that 42% of all deliveries were c-sections.
So, you'd hope that information on preparing and recovering would be accessible, wouldn't you?
You might expect that there would be robust guidelines and consistent training for professionals supporting women through this major operation.
Alas, my experience as a pre & post natal coach suggests unfortunately we are far, far away from that. The quality of care is very much luck of the draw.
I wanted to share a couple of common misconceptions that I often hear from members of LWC and set the record straight.
