As Leo szn begins, this one is going to be extra special.
That's because our beloved Chief Zen Officer, Fran, is due to give birth any minute now!
I sat down with her to find out how she's feeling and what advice she has for those of you who are expecting your first baby.
For over four years in LWC, Fran's been reminding us "What you feel now is what you're going to attract" as the beautiful end to every class.
So now it's our turn to send her positive vibes as she prepares for this next chapter.

How has this pregnancy been versus your first one?
This pregnancy has been completely different, both physically and mentally, especially with Wilbur around. Taking care of a toddler all day is so exhausting! I haven't had a chance to rest, but I've discovered an inner strength I didn't know I had!
What are you most excited about becoming a family of four?
I feel so excited and grateful to be giving Wilbur a sibling and can’t wait for the fun and chaos that comes with having two children! We're keeping it a surprise, so we have no clue if it’s a boy or a girl...
Mindset was a huge part of your home birth experience with Wilbur. What tips would you give to anyone preparing for their first labour?
Immerse yourself with positive birth experiences. Stick positive affirmations on your fridge and read the book How to Have a Baby by Natalie Meddings - it’s magic. I would also highly recommend hiring a doula to support both you and your partner throughout birth, if that's an investment you can make.

If you could choose one go-to yoga pose for each trimester, what would it be and why?
First trimester - balasana (child’s pose) - you might be feeling very low in energy or nauseous during those first twelve weeks, so child’s pose is just what you need to simply surrender and relax.
Second trimester - when your energy returns, virabhadrasana (warrior 1) is the perfect pose for building strength. It can really help you feel grounded and calm on those days where pregnancy might feel overwhelming.
Third trimester - malasana (yogi squat) is a great pose to open up the pelvis and help your baby move into the optimal position ready for birth.
What's been your favourite class that you've taught in LWC this year?
My flow and meditation for anxiety, which I taught back in May. I love knowing that my flows, especially this one, can help someone when they’re feeling overwhelmed. It’s so rewarding.

You have a gorgeous on-demand class for the 4th trimester in the library. How will you be looking after yourself in that first 12 weeks postpartum? What wellbeing advice do you have for this specific chapter?
Be kind to yourself! Our bodies are incredible but postpartum is very sacred; you need to heal holistically. Take your time when it comes to returning to exercise and make sure you have a thorough postnatal check with a registered physio.
